• Let’s remember that October is National Clergy Appreciation Month. Don’t forget to say, “THANK YOU for Your service,” and render an act of kindness to ministerial staff members!
• Children’s Church assembles in the Fellowship Hall every second and fourth Sunday for fellowship, food, and fun for children ages 5-12. Any inquiries can be directed to Elder Anthony Graham, Coordinator.
• Virtual Bible Study is on Wednesday, October 16th, at 7 p.m., and Virtual Church School is on Friday, October 18th, at 6:30 p.m. Participation information for both opportunities to study the Word is posted on our social media platforms.
• Corporate Prayer is Saturday morning, October 19, at 9 in the sanctuary.
• Join us on Saturday, November 16, for GNL’s Care for the Unhoused. Starting October 20, we will be collecting essential items such as blankets, socks, gloves, and hats to support those in need within our community. Donation containers will be available in the fellowship hall for your contributions. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our unhoused neighbors as we appreciate our blessings this season. As Jesus said, “Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was Me—you did it to Me” (Matthew 25:40). For inquiries, please connect with Sister Angela Williams.
• If you have not done so already, everyone 18 and above has until October 21 to register to vote in our country’s general election at vote.gov; November 5th is the most crucial election of our time, as our democracy must be maintained. This is an opportunity to make our voices heard and contribute to shaping our communities and nation. Remember, not voting is voting!
• Please continue to pray that the will of God be done on the earth as it is in Heaven, and also “pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may those who love her prosper” (Psalm 122:6).
